Lucy Berrett

Qualified Humanistic counsellor and Play Therapist specialising in working with children and young people. Experience of working in both mainstream and alternative provision schools, facilitating a unique way of working with every individual.

I’m a qualified humanistic counsellor with a special focus on supporting children and young people. I offer a warm, welcoming space where they can feel safe, heard, and accepted just as they are.

My approach is creative and child-led, which means I follow each young person’s pace and preferences, using a range of expressive tools such as play, sand tray, sensory materials, colour, board games, music, and mindfulness. These activities often help children express themselves when words are difficult to find, allowing them to explore their inner world in a way that feels natural and empowering.

I also have a deep passion for supporting families who are grieving the loss of a baby or child. I understand how unique and personal each journey through grief is, and I offer a compassionate, non-judgemental space for parents and families to feel supported and not alone during such a profoundly difficult time.

Whether you're seeking support for your child or as a family navigating grief, I’m here to walk alongside you with empathy, understanding, and care.
